Meet Ashraf Shafiq, Cofounder of Matilda.

Ashraf has spent the last decade in internet architecture, systems design, and software development. That work has ranged from tackling the global IPv4 scarcity crisis to building out FEMA's Operational Design Roadmaps. He's as comfortable reasoning about internet-scale infrastructure as he is about the systems that hold up disaster response for millions of people.

At Matilda, his role is simple to say and hard to do: push the limits of what technology can do for our clients, and build an ecosystem of problem solvers, human and agentic alike. That means figuring out how AI agents and human expertise actually work together in production, not just in a demo.

Ashraf is also a new father. One thing he's learned is that caring deeply about the work is what lets him show up as the best father he can be. His passion for technology is a legacy he wants to leave behind for future generations.

When he's not working or with his family, he's on the basketball court or out on a run.
